Meet Our Researchers

 John Ulrich is Head Researcher and Senior Researcher at Harvard Student Resources (HSR). He has worked for HSR for over 16 years. He holds a master's degree from the Harvard School of Public Health and a graduate certificate in publishing and communications from the Harvard Extension School. He has done research for HSR clients not only at Harvard, but also at the National Records and Archives Administration, the New York Public Library, the Boston Public Library, Mystic Seaport, the U.S. Military Academy, and the Library of Congress. Before coming to Harvard he worked as an officer in the U.S. Air Force, warehouse worker, medical secretary, college English teacher, and medical and technical writing consultant. He also holds degrees from Emory University and the Southern College of Technology.

G. Huma Yildirim is a master’s student in Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations with a B.A. degree in Social Anthropology from Istanbul University. She also holds a master’s degree in History from University of Massachusetts, Boston following several years of professional life in the Foreign Trade and Foreign Exchange department of a private bank. She has done research in the libraries of Harvard University, National Records and Archives Administration, the Boston Public Library and Prime Ministry Ottoman Archives in Istanbul. Huma is a certificated Tezhip (Classical Turkish Illumination Art) artist and has participated in numerous joint exhibitions between 2003 and 2008.
